When the condenser sprouts a leak, ac system will lose refrigerant and you will need to come in for a refrigerant recharge. At this point the condenser should be replaced to prevent the refrigerant from further leaks and from polluting the atmosphere.

Warm air, or air that is not cold enough, is the typical symptom of something wrong with the condenser. Fortunately, it does not have to be a leak – it could be a clogged a/c condenser coil, or disabled cooling fan. Our nationally ASE certified technicians can diagnose and repair any a/c condenser problems. If we suspect a condenser leak, we can add ultraviolet dye to the refrigerant and see where the leak occurs. Sometimes crud builds up at the front of the condenser, and cleaning that up can partially restore cooling capability.

If it does turn out that the a/c condenser needs to be replaced, we can perform this repair and get the car back to you the same day (usually).
